A Night At The Opera

This is our entry for the 7th GMTK jam with the theme "Roles Reversed". We went for a rather literal interpretation of the theme this time. Play the stand-in director of a local theatre and help the actors reverse their roles to get the best performance possible. We hope you enjoy our silly little story!

STORY:

Inflation hit the local theatre hard. From a once healthy cast of 10 actors and actresses, 5 have been fired, leading to the remaining ones having to take up double roles. With only little time left before the premiere of their latest production, "A Night At The Opera", the cast didn't have time to fully learn all of their positions. Now it is you, a stand-in director, who must help them find their way across the stage and a crowded backstage area.

Oh, by the way, the sound technician was fired as well, so you'll have to do his job, too.

(You can be glad we didn't have time to also fire the set designer and the prompter, like we had originally intended to)

Will the premiere be a critical success or will tomatoes be thrown at everyone involved? It's all up to you!
